Duration For Appointment To Be A Tutor In College Of Education
Appointment of individuals to the position of Tutor in the College of Education shall be for a term of five(5) years and may be subjected to renewal for a second term upon good performance exhibited.
A College Tutor’s appointment may be renewed up to a maximum of three terms, that is, a total of fifteen (15) years upon which the appointment may be terminated unless the applicant qualifies for promotion to the Senior Tutor position.
Qualifications To Be Assistant Tutor In Colleges Of Education
The College of Education assistant tutor position is a temporary one designed for prospective tutors( Those aspiring to undergo mentorship to become tutors).
An assistant tutor must hold a relevant first degree with at least a second-class upper grade.
Such a candidate will be appointed for three (3) years and be placed at the level of principal administrative assistant, renewable for a further period of two (2) years only.
The appointment of the assistant tutor may be terminated unless the candidate qualifies for an appointment as a tutor within the above-mentioned period.

The individual must have served satisfactorily as a college Tutor for a minimum period of four (4) years and must support his/her application with a minimum of two (2) publications, one (1) of which shall be published in a recognized journal.
Qualifications To Be A Principal In Colleges Of Education
The Individual interested in becoming a college principal must have served as a Senior Tutor for a minimum period of four(4) years and shown evidence of outstanding performance in teaching and research in the candidate’s subject area, as well as, contribution
to the intellectual and professional reputation of the College.
Applicant must support his/her application with a minimum of five (5) cumulative publications three (3) of which must have been published in recognized peer-reviewed journals.
