As a result of claims that he sexually assaulted three of his students while working as a teacher at Sehwi Asawinso Methodist Primary B, a National Service Personnel employee who is 24 years old and has been teaching there has been remanded into the custody of the police for the next three weeks. According to reports, the suspect, Bismark Ansu, was a teacher at the school located in the Sehwi Wiawso Municipality of the Western North Region. His position was in the second grade.
According to 3news.com, he held private extra courses at his home for his students in January without informing the administration of the school. He justified his actions by saying that he needed more time to finish the curriculum for the school year. During the unapproved additional sessions, Ansu sexually assaulted three of the students who were between the ages of eight and nine, and he threatened to kill them if they told anybody about their experience.
However, his secret was shattered because the parents of the victims were vigilant and kept an eye out for him.
“After a few weeks had passed since the claimed sexual assault, the parents of the victims discovered anomalous blood discharges from their daughters’ private parts, and when they were questioned about it, they divulged the trauma.”
“A report was made to the police at Sehwi Asawinso, and a medical form was supplied to the complainants. They were instructed to take the victims to any government hospital for inspection, treatment, and endorsement, all of which supported the allegations that they had been defiled.”
According to 3news.com, “The accused person was subsequently arrested and was charged with three offenses: i) threat of death contrary to Section 75 of the Criminal Offenses 1960 [ACT 29], ii) defilement contrary to Section 101 of Criminal Offenses 1960 [ACT 29], and iii) threat of harm contrary to Section 74 of the Criminal Offences 1960 [ACT 29] and was put before the Bibiani Circuit Court.”
On Monday, May 29, the suspect is scheduled to make a subsequent appearance before the court.
